Memorial 2019-02-08T11:42:53+00:00

Project Description

Beginning from December 1943 more than 1.000 people, largely Jewish, were set in lead-covered train and they were deported in concentration camps. The building up of the trains took place under the Central Railway Station. When the convoys were built they were hoisted to the higher level and they left. The Memorial is a place where visitors experience is enhanced with lighting. Light is designed to recreate uneasiness and uncomfortable feelings, guiding the visitors through the evocative and implacable force of the different areas.
